Really, these look like stock photos from Montana, or Colorado, not the relatively snowless New England of the past few years.
I am quite certain the awe and delight I am taking in the snowy splendor will abate and I will become sick and tired of looking at (driving through and shoveling) all that white.
Not quite yet, however.
Will you LOOK at this?

This is what I see out my back slider…
It’s Friday: Enjoy your day!

Wow. This is lovely. I never got sick of the white stuff when I lived up north. As a city resident, I got sick of the mountains of gray stuff created by snow plows and the clear stuff that made me slip. But the white stuff? Now that’s just beautiful (and fun to walk and play in).
Lovely. I especially like the second photo. I miss the snow, now that I’ve been living in the South nearly 5 years.
Rusty’s mom here: Wow those pictures are great. I like the last one the best!

I’m a teensy bit jealous of the view. And by ‘a teensy bit’, I mean ‘large amounts’.
I want snow, damnit!
Thank you! Wordlily, I lived in the Southwest for 3 years and really missed the serious (and by that I mean FEET of snow) weather, like we’ve had this winter. The second shot is of a Redbud tree, and the carcasses of the echinacea wearing snow hats below it. There are about 3 feet of snow on the ground.
I’m still a bit gaga about the very unusual (certainly for December, which is the snowiest in this state’s history) snow levels and will continue to take photos of that view.
Rusty’s Mom - Thank you - I like the last one the best, too. That was taken at dawn.
Contrary, come on up and hang out in my kitchen - how do you like your coffee?
I can’t do much about sending you some of the view or the snow, but can I send you a photo?
Beautiful
