We’re having the euthanasia conversation now. It’s very sad, but there’s nothing more the vet can do.

About ME
In no particular order, I am a mother of a teen and pre-teen, a READER, a teacher, a wife, a lover of photography, an organic gardener, a chocoholic, a dog owner and lover, a twin, a Canadian/American dual citizen, an Anglophile and a lover of puns and wordy cleverness. I love to cook with organic ingredients and am forever substituting maple syrup for sugar in all my recipes. I love absurdity in its myriad forms and strive to raise awareness of the world's omnipresent absurdity in my teaching, in my mothering and in my friending. Welcome.-

I am so sorry, I send you a big hug.
I’m so sorry.
I am so sorry, hon. So very, very sorry.
Sorry about your puppy dog. It’s a hard, hard thing to do.
So sorry, darlin. Hang in there.
I’m holding you in light.
Sending thoughts and hugs from my lurking corner
Thank you all for your energy and love. This is among the hardest things I have ever had to do and I am doing a lot of weeping, railing, and communing with my furry boy. Bob and I are reeling to and from topics – from talking about where to bury him, to hopeful signs (he ate liver!), to studiously NOT talking about any other new dogs any time soon.
But we are talking about breaking it to the kids.
So so so sorry.
I’m sorry, O’Mama…
